WGMA Announce Details for EGM in Glasgow
As agreed at the WGMA Congress in Newcastle last year, there will be an Extraordinary General Meeting during the Grand Masters Hockey European Cup in Glasgow in August. The Scottish organising committee has arranged for the meeting to be held at 5.30 pm on Tuesday 22nd August 2017 at the Glasgow Green Football Centre. This is adjacent to the Glasgow National Hockey Centre which is where the tournament is being played.
This is the first General Meeting to be held by WGMA other than during a World Cup, but it is hoped that countries not participating in the European Cup may be able to appoint delegates to attend the EGM, which will discuss the latest position in the talks with IMHA in relation to FIH’s request for a single entity to manage Masters and Grand Masters hockey. A full agenda and appropriate papers will be sent to all WGMA members before the end of July.
